Atascadero City Hall Photos before and after Restoration

Atascadero City Hall in Early 2013, ©B. RadisavljevicIn December, 2003, Paso Robles experienced an earthquake that no one who experienced it will forget. This picture of the Atascadero City Hall was taken ten years after the earthquake, and you can see it is still barricaded and waiting for repairs when this photo was taken in early 2013.

This photo was taken after the City Hall was restored and reopened in August, 2013. I took the picture on October 31. It took almost ten years. See a brief history of City Hall here.

  1. Amazing that it took a decade to restore what the earthquake damaged. Both images of the city hall are lovely in their architecture.

    1. There was a problem with funding from FEMA as I recall, and so they had to wait to be able to pay for the restoration. It's the financing that took the most time.
