It Takes Work to Prevent Fires

Everyone living through the California drought knows that fire danger is high in this hot weather. Our next door National Guard neighbor is being sent north for a month to fire fires.

But all fires don't occur in forests. Many start in dry brush on private property. That's why it's so important to keep dry brush and weeds down. Tall grass becomes dry grass.

Those of us who have rural land with lot of acres have to work at keeping our land free of high grass and dry brush. That's probably why I saw this man in Peterson Ranch out with his mower. You can click the photo  to enlarge it.
