Watching the Clouds as the Sun Set in Early January

Watching the Clouds as the Sun Set in Early January
I took these photos while watching the clouds as the sun set early in January. This is a continuation of the post I made yesterday revealing The Hovering Cloud at Sundown. The photos in this post were actually taken earlier, before the hovering cloud got so far south. The clouds appeared to be moving southeast. These sky photos were all taken looking west from my yard and the street leading west to Larry Moore Park.

I think the photos will speak for themselves. The first one, above, was taken the earliest. The ones below are posted in the order they were taken in a period of about 15 minutes. I was alternately taking other photos while facing in other directions. Those did not turn out to be as dramatic as the ones shared here and in the hovering cloud post. Where it made sense, I framed the sunset in trees. Here are the rest of the photos in order taken.

The clouds were always moving. The trees stay in one place, so you can use them as reference points.

The Zazzle products featured below were made with some of my other sky shots. Several different designs have been made from the photos here, so you can find most of them in cards, postcards, electronic case covers, posters, even postage stamps. Find a complete collection of my sky posters in this Zazzle store here.
You can customize them to remove or change any text they may have.
