While the Salinas river is dry, people and dogs often walk in the riverbed, as do jackrabbits. A common sight in the riverbed is driftwood from all the fallen trees. Large logs like this one are a everywhere. What you do not often see is a golf ball lodged in one of them, as you see here. It is near the top of the log on the right. If you can't see it, try clicking to enlarge the photo.
There is not a golf course anywhere near the river in Paso Robles or Templeton, just south of Paso Robles. I can't help but wonder how this ball landed here. Anyone care to tell us a story in the comments of how it happened?
It does make one wonder!
ReplyDeleteThe only think I can think of is that someone may have been using it in the park or riverbed for a dog to chase and it got lost.
