The Browning of Paso Robles

Brown Lawn at Paso Robles City Hall and Library. © B. Radisavljevic
I had to visit the public library today. Seems the City of Paso Robles needs to show that they are doing their part to save water, too, during the drought, by letting city landscaping go as brown as they are encouraging us to let our own lawns get. Brown appears to be the new "green" as far as lawns go. If you can't read the sign, please click to enlarge photo.

  1. Looks like NZ grass at the end of summer :) we have a drought almost every year and by the end of summer all that lovely green grass is golden and brown. I actually quite like how it looks

    1. Sarah, I prefer the green look. By the middle of summer around here the unirrigated parts of the scenery just seem dull to me, especially when it's hot out.
