But sharing was not enough for them. They wanted it all, and I got tired of working just to provide a squirrel buffet. They didn't even eat the tomatoes. They just cut them off at the ground so they would die. I think it's trying to figure out a way to get into the bird feeder that we have out there hanging on a shepherd's crook type of pole. I haven't seen the little guy try to jump (the feeder is too far from both the porch and the trees) or climb (if the little guy has ever tried, that obviously didn't work), but I do enjoy watching him/her as it scurries about. There's a pair of them that I see frequently running from tree to tree, up and down, "bouncing" off the trunks as they chase each other and they're just so comical to watch. So yes, despite the sunflowers that they destroyed this past summer in the garden and all the other mischief they tend to get into, I do appreciate the squirrels. Happy Squirrel Appreciation Day to the little critters!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11299578855182866748noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-828257216420711236.post-31329657320960765002016-01-21T08:56:03.547-08:002016-01-21T08:56:03.547-08:00I know they can be pesky because I have several di...I know they can be pesky because I have several different species of squirrels in my area including ground squirrels. I still appreciate them and find them worth the trouble they can cause because of their entertainment value. They are so much fun to watch and my dogs are kept busy chasing them.Vicki Greenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05833953087167555079noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-828257216420711236.post-34102364546533233212016-01-21T07:26:31.717-08:002016-01-21T07:26:31.717-08:00I absolutely love having squirrels and chipmunks c...I absolutely love having squirrels and chipmunks chattering in my neighborhood. Actually, we have one that seems to enjoy sitting on the top of the fence and taunting our pups. Crazy squirrel! As long as they don't get too close to each other, I don't mind their little dog and squirrel games.Sylvestermousehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13690700963857028874noreply@blogger.com
